It led to new trend in Urdu literature. Javedakram rated it really liked it Sep 30, I used to think about Spain with a whole different perspective but aftef reading this book, I think about it at a whole different level of imagination. A portrait of nostalgia done so well that by the end of the book the reader reminisces as if those memories were their own.

Mustansar Hussain Tarar takes you on an adventurous journey across Spain. Except this, it is literally one of the best travelogues of all time.
He narrates his travel and you feel like you are looking at Mustansar from top and are along with him throughout. It is clear that Mustansar has a special affection for the country and for the lost heritage of the eclectic civilisation that came into being, uniquely, only in medieval Spain.
The book focuses on present day's comparison with the days of Moorish Spain before its conquest in Spain is not as beautiful as deep it is. Mustansar Hussain is one of my favorite writers who has taken the writing of Safar-Naama to a new height. It is way slower than his other books and it was one of the things I loved in this book. It is just perfect and there is a difference between beauty and perfection.
He narrated his feelings and observations with well researched history of the cities he traveled.

Mustansar was born in 'Jokalian' a small town in Punjab, Pakistan in March They probably don't even know that they exist in a book.
